Hi there! Welcome to my website – I’m Saxon Bullock, an editor and writer specialising in freelance copy-editing and proofreading.

Copy-Editing and Proofreading – I have fourteen years experience working on novels for major commercial fiction imprints and independent freelance clients. I trained as a proofreader with the Publishing Training Centre, qualifying with merit, and I’ve got over 3000 hours of experience working for publishers like Simon & Schuster, Orbit, Corsair, HarperVoyager and Gollancz.

Editorial Reports – I have thirteen years experience of professionally assessing book manuscripts for their strengths and weaknesses. I also completed a Creative Writing MA at the University of Manchester in 2015, and qualified with merit.

Journalism – I’ve been a freelance journalist since 2000, I’ve written for a variety of print and online outlets, and for the last twenty years I’ve been a regular contributor to SFX, the UK’s biggest SF/Fantasy genre magazine.

Fiction – I write science fiction and fantasy novels, and I am currently represented as a fiction writer by the John Jarrold Literary Agency.
